NASCAR!

People who don't watch NASCAR really don't get it and probably never will.  I enjoy watching NASCAR a lot.  I am completely intrigued by the mechanics and aerodynamics of the sport.  I am probably much more in tune with that aspect of the sport than 99% of the people in the stands.

It amazes me that 43 cars can race for 4 hours, travel 500 miles, and have the 1st and 2nd place cars finish within 2/100 of a second of each other!  Considering that they stopped for fuel at least three times and used up 10 or 12 sets of tires.  Amazing!

To think that you can put a couple of pieces of tape on the front of the car and actually increase the speed of the car.

She's going to kill me for showing this photo,
but isn't Pam a sport, posing with NASCAR parts?

What can I say?  I'm a gear head at heart.

I am not the beer drinking, raging fan that you picture.  Actually I don't drink at all and never have.  The only thing I do is smoke a little crack on the weekends.  Just kidding about the crack!!!  I like to tell people that because they don't even think that a "Dumb Ole Dirt Farmer" even knows what crack is.

As a very young child I followed NASCAR and subscribed to NASCAR Magazine when I was very young.

Then as I got older I really didn't lose interest, I just ran out of time, so there was a long period of time that I barely followed the sport, just catching a headline here and there.

But a couple of years ago when the rest of the world discovered NASCAR Racing I started watching again.  These days I have a little more time than I did previously, but not that much more.  I actually tape the NASCAR race on Sunday and then it takes me most of the week to get it watch.
