Ever since Susan and I have been married she has decorated our home with plants and provided her friends and relatives with gifts made by taking cuttings from plants she was familiar with. A few of our friends actually joked with her saying she should look into making money with all of her plants.

One time, just for the heck of it, I did a search for free plants. I was just joking around because Susan had been spending so much on buying all sorts of different plants for our new home as well as other gardening supplies. Imagine my surprise when the first link Google gave me was http://www.freeplants.com 

That was my first time seeing Mike McGroarty’s site. I read through all of it over the next few days and then shared some of it with Susan. She kept putting me off about doing something more with her interest in plants but I eventually found out that she loved the idea of working with plants; it was the idea of running a business that scarred her.

I gave her some time to think about it, and then as a gift, I bought Mike’s system for her. She decided she would be willing to start our own backyard nursery and she would do the gardening if I would be a partner and do the business side for her. At this same time, due to an inheritance we received, Sue got the greenhouse that she always wanted, and that jump-started our backyard nursery.

We have just started reading through all of the materials that are provided in Mike’s system and have signed up as permanent members on the Backyard Growers Private Message Board. While we have only posted one or two messages we have taken the time to read many others and have gained more valuable information from other backyard growers that will help us as we get established. 

The beauty of this message board is that if you don’t understand something in Mike’s system, you can ask questions and not only will others respond with answers but Mike himself will mentor you along to resolve your problem. How many other authors will take time to work with their readers when they don’t understand a concept from their books?

Our experiences with Mike’s system have been great. There is never any pressure to buy things. You are free to be as small or as big as you wish. You can participate on a daily basis or just sit back and read on your own. This system allows you the freedom to make your backyard nursery what you want it to be. We would highly recommend it to you if you are like us and want to begin earning at least part of your income from plants.
